Completed in 1871 in Gothic Revival architecture, the Basilica offers visitors breathtaking views of colorful hand-painted murals, soaring painted ceilings, custom stained glass windows, a massive old pipe organ, and a beautiful place to worship.
University of Notre Dame – Notre Dame, Indiana
You can't live in South Bend without visiting the University of Notre Dame, one of the country's highest-ranking academic universities. By scheduling a tour through the Eck Visitors Center, you can explore the campus, attend conferences, and view athletic events and competitions. Although the main building with the gold dome is the campus centerpiece, you can also visit The Grotto of Our Lady o Lourdes, the old Log Chapel, Notre Dame Stadium, and the Hesburgh Library, one of the largest college libraries in the world.
